This experimental documentary aims to chronicle the collective learning process of the mouries collective project Healing Exercises: Inherited and (e)merging women’s knowledges for collective learning and interspecies connections. It weaves together diverse recording methods—audio, video, writing, poetry, vocal experimentation, dialogue, interviews, and movement—to deepen our understanding of each other and the ecological system we inhabit.

By exploring care, healing, and marginalized knowledges, the film highlights shared growth and learning. It delves into themes of mourning, voice, the body-environment relationship, intuition, divination, biodiversity, rest, and self-discovery, tracing the impact of healing processes on our bodies, emotions, and relationships while linking them to the earth’s rhythms.

A gathering of artifacts from workshops and collaborations of the Mouries Collective, this experimental documentary of short vignettes of our process to foster stronger bonds, shifting us from extractive, disposable beings into a collective entity deeply connected to our environment.

It also explores the transformative power of recalibrating our bodies to different time references, attuning to the rhythms of hills, stones, trees, and water. Through images, thoughts, exercises, recordings, interviews, and research, it captures the intimate discoveries of our collective work. By weaving this knowledge into a reflective montage, we hope to spark new actions, dialogue, and further discoveries.
